Since my last ‘news’ update:
I had two heart valves replaced in February. A miraculous second chance at life but also an ordeal to go through and a battle, to recover. I did it and what a wonderful year since then!

I was a speaker at the Historical Novel Conference in Maynooth Dublin, on a panel with fellow Viking authors Matthew Harffy and Justin Hill. More fun than work is supposed to be! - Earlier in APRIL I celebrated Publication Day for ‘With Raven Wine’, the fourth and final book in ‘The Midwinter Quartet’. I wrote this while waiting for my heart operation, five times postponed, and it’s no surprise that the novel is very emotional! The word ‘heart’ might appear in it several times and I had no problems imagining the deaths that occur.
I aim to post more regular updates here from now on. Thank you all for your wonderful support throughout very difficult times. New adventures ahead!
