I leave France on Thursday for a long weekend among ‘the dreaming spires’ and the chance to meet up with other historical novelists at the annual conference of The Historical Novel Society. My usual literary experience is the Hay on Wye Festival, which is more of a tents, mud and wellies affair 🙂 but I’m sure that whether or not I enjoy the ‘poshness’ I’ll definitely enjoy listening to and meeting writers I admire.
